Our speaker, Sharon Burns, has been involved in teaching adults most of her professional career and has been active in the safety community teaching CPR for more than 20 years.
Since forming First Aid Ed. in 2005, she has taught first aid, CPR, bloodborne pathogens, babysitting basics and various safety seminars to more than 1000 students in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.
She represents Medic First Aid, American Safety and Health
Institute and American Heart Association, all nationally recognized
leaders in the health and safety industry. First Aid Ed is one of
the few companies in this area to offer the 8-hour Bloodborne
pathogen class required by health and medical care professionals.
Sharon, along with 3 other instructors recently completed the first
half of the Wilderness First Responder course for the Washington
Department of Ecology. She is an EMT and actively volunteers her
time with Mid-Columbia Pre-Hospital Care Association and CERT.
Her classes are informative and interactive, and in a non-stressful environment, students learn how not to panic in a panic situation.
